Tamra (Tammy) Johns Sutton is an Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist with a vision of increased access to oral health care. She began her career in the dental field in 1997 as a dental assistant. Since then she has worked as a dental office manager, dental assistant, and dental hygienist. This experience has allowed her to gain perspective on what patients’ needs and wants are.

Tammy is very passionate about dental hygiene and is dedicated to striving for the highest standard of care for her patients at the most affordable price. Her mission is to treat and educate patients as a whole entity in collaboration with multiple health care professionals. It is her belief that evidence-based research is relevant to the advancement of dental hygiene to meet optimum oral and systemic health.

She also strongly values education and professional affiliation. She is currently working towards the completion of a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene and is a member of American Dental Hygiene Association, Emerald Study Club, and Hygienists in Independent Practice Study Club.

Tammy grew up in the Veneta/Elmira community, where she resides with her husband and three boys. Tammy enjoys reading professional journals, hiking, playing board games, music and watching her children grow!
